Khaali Peeli teaser: Ishaan, Ananya promise a mad ride

The teaser of Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday-starrer Khaali Peeli dropped on Monday, giving a sneak peek into a cat-and-mouse chase on the roads of Mumbai.In the over one-minute-long teaser, Ishaan, a half-murder accused, and Ananya, a dancer, are seen running away with some cash and jewellery in their taxi – known as Kaali Peeli in Mumbai – with a peculiar number plate, 6969

Khaali Peeli, also starring Pataal Lok actor Jaideep Ahlawat, marks the directorial debut of Maqbool Khan who called the film “a young, edgy, mad roller-coaster ride.”

In a statement, Maqbool said, “It’s been a pleasure working with Ishaan & Ananya—two powerhouses who have given fantastic performances! Khaali Peeli is a young, edgy, mad roller-coaster ride that I hope the audiences will enjoy thoroughly!”

Ali Abbas Zafar, who has donned the hat of a producer for Khaali Peeli, said, “Khaali Peeli is a complete desi entertainer. Ishaan, Ananya’s energetic chemistry and Jaideep’s credibility make this ride cooler and edgier.”

Ishaan Khatter, who will be seen performing some interesting action sequences in the film, shared the teaser on his Instagram account. “Shaano की बस्ती मे आ रेला hai ik डेढ़ शना to Chal abb batti bujha, aur dekh #KhaaliPeeli ka teaser Directed by @macriaan. Coming soon,” he wrote.
